ABSTRACT  
The Service-learning Model for Students Working with Purposive Cohorts was developed for specific 
service-learning experiences involving 30 hours of actual experience with a purposive cohort. 
This paper discusses the development and specific segments of the model as well as how 
an instructor could implement it.
