ABSTRACT
Twitter, a micro-blogging service, has the potential to function as a teaching
tool which can bring students and professors together in real time applying
classroom content to current events. By using such Web 2.0 technology purposefully
and incorporating it into pedagogical design and course learning objectives,
professors can foster a sense of community and collaboration, even in hybrid
and online courses. This article focuses on several ways professors could utilize
Twitter in hybrid classroom environments.
