Measuring Math Anxiety of Elementary Teachers            Jim Gleason, The University of Alabama ABSTRACT The Mathematics Anxiety Rating Scale is used frequently in research involving pre-service elementary teachers’ mathematics anxiety. This causes a problem since this instrument has not been analyzed using this data. In this study, we explore the various factors of the instrument and its reliability for the pre-service teacher population using methods of exploratory factor analysis and the graded model of item response theory.
