Teachers Blossom into New Leadership Roles

Many school administrators envision increasing their districtís leadership 
capacity by developing teacher leaders to support educational reform. 
I examined how teachers increase their leadership while participating in a 
leadership institute. This article describes four patterns of teacher 
leadership and suggests some best practices for increasing teachersí 
leadership capacity.
