Focus:
Traditional Liberal Arts Colleges are increasingly adding a Business Major to their curriculums. The challenges faced by these institutions may mirror those of larger institutions, while at the same time presenting unique obstacles. These may include limited financial resources, retaining qualified faculty, and colleague resistance. Additional research topics could include:
  • The Challenge of Developing Curriculum in the Dynamic External Business Environment
  • Evaluation of Business Software in Coursework
  • Role of Business Ethics Development in the Classroom
  • Proprietary and Legal Issues in Business Internship Opportunities
  • Community Outreach as a Tool for Business Skills Development
  • The Expanding Role of Global Citizenship in a Business Environment
  • Balancing Experience and Academic Knowledge Basis in Business Faculty Members
  • Incorporation of a Liberal Arts Education within a Business Program
Papers may explore any of the above themes or suggest others.
